1 it's light density 2.7 g/cm³
compared to steel 8.05 g/cm3 (4.48 and 4.65 oz/cu in). which is why they build aircraft out of it
2 it is malleable which means it can be bent flatenned extended and moulded into shape the most common thing daily is in soda cans
